Welcome to Yellow Leaf Hammocks, by the Mla Bri People of Thailand!

Here you will find a few details of the kinds of hammocks we make and the yarns we use. The colors can be nearly endless. Scale lines, the runners from end to end, are three yarns together, and each can be a different color. The Mla Bri start with simply yarn, and when complete, the finished hammock is a true work of art, to give a long life of enjoyment.

Please look around here and enjoy the site. You'll find more information below and photos on another page.

We hand weave tree hammocks in several different styles, and chair hammocks. Tree hammocks are strung between trees or poles, and chair hammocks are made for hanging from above.

The yarns we use are cotton and acrylic. Cotton is a natural fabric with a familiar feel, and ideal for indoors. For a most luxurious feel, acrylic is the very best.

Acrylic hammocks are very soft. They hold colors brilliantly, and they endure the weather very well. While the yarn is much more costly, its lighter weight means lower shipping costs. Some would say acrylic doesn't breath like cotton, but then one remembers a hammock is an open weave.

Our tree hammocks are made in a jumbo size or a super jumbo size. Jumbo hammocks are large enough for two to share romantic moments in, or side by side.

Super Jumbo and V-weave hammocks are even larger. Two can cocoon in them, or stretch out for a cozy lazy snooze, and after all, isn't that what a hammock is all about?
